Ethan Surowiec will return to Florida baseball next season

Florida infielder Ethan Surowiec will return for the 2026 season after announcing his decision on social media following the MLB Draft. As Florida's cleanup hitter, Surowiec played all 62 games this past season, batting.317 with 14 doubles, 12 home runs, and 63 RBIs. The Gulfport, Mississippi native, a transfer from Ole Miss, also showcased his skills in the MLB Draft combine as a top 250 prospect. He retains three years of eligibility after the recent adoption of the five-for-five rule. Surowiec's standout performance included a notable game during the SEC tournament against Alabama, where he went 4-for-5.
