Everson Griffen charged with driving violation after traffic stop

Everson Griffen, former Minnesota Vikings defensive end, has been charged with driving in violation of a restricted license following a traffic stop in Winona, Minnesota, on July 23. Police allege he was driving 62 mph in a 40 mph zone and later discovered his vehicle lacked the required ignition-interlock device linked to his driving privileges. The gross misdemeanor charge arises from a previous 2024 DWI conviction, for which Griffen remains on supervised probation. He has been released on bond and is scheduled for a remote court appearance on August 28.
