Everson Griffen remains in jail following arrest for drug possession and DWI

Former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen is being held without bail at the Hennepin County Jail. Authorities arrested Griffen on Sept. 5 for probable cause of 5th-degree drug possession and DWI. Officers from the South Lake Minnetonka Police department pulled him over early that morning in Shorewood following reports of reckless driving. Officials also suspected his involvement in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 394. This incident marks his third arrest in three months, following a July arrest for driver’s license violations and an August incident where he was tased and taken into custody after failing to follow commands on Interstate 394.
