Everton secures 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace in season opener

Everton began the 2026-27 season with a 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace at their home ground. Manager David Moyes emphasized the importance of building the team over time rather than seeking immediate success. New captain James Tarkowski expressed pride in leading Everton, highlighting their goal to return to competitive status within the league. The club's Under-21 team also faced Crystal Palace, ending in a tense 1-1 draw with a sending-off for youngster Braiden Graham.
