Everton targets Hector Fort from Barcelona as transfer window closes

Everton is reportedly focusing on Hector Fort of FC Barcelona as they seek a right-back before the transfer window closes. The Toffees had previously pursued Alistair Johnston, but that interest has waned due to injury concerns and Celtic's high valuation. Fort, a 20-year-old who can play on both flanks, recently returned from a season-long loan at Elche CF, where he made 14 league appearances after overcoming a shoulder injury. His tactical flexibility and previous success in Barcelona's youth system make him an appealing candidate for Everton's defensive lineup.
