Everton youth teams face major departures before new season

Everton anticipates significant changes to its youth squads as contract expirations approach at the end of June 2026. Under-21 coach Paul Tait is expected to depart, alongside several players including defenders Roman Dixon and Reece Welch. Additionally, 18-year-old Demi Akarakiri appears poised to leave for Serie A, while 20-year-old Coby Ebere has seemingly joined FK Cukaricki. Concerns surrounding the club's ability to develop young talent have been raised, particularly regarding blocked pathways to the first team for aspiring players.
