Everton's groundsman Bob Lennon retires after 40 years with the club

Bob Lennon has retired after nearly four decades as the head groundsman for Everton Football Club. Completing his final shift on Saturday, Lennon spent 38 years maintaining the pitches at Goodison Park and the Bellefield training ground. He expressed joy in his role, which he described more as a hobby than a job. Lennon worked with 19 managers and interacted with many club legends during his tenure. Looking ahead, he plans to spend more time in his garden and attending matches as a fan.
