"More footage of Dustin Poirier’s airport arrest was just released. On June 21, Poirier was arrested at Atlanta International Airport for public drunkenness after being removed from a plane and causing a scene. In the initial arrest video, Poirier shows aggressive, erratic behavior towards the gate agents and the responding officer who came to intervene. Poirier even attempts to square up with the responding officer, challenging him to a fight before ultimately accepting his arrest peacefully. Now, we know what happened afterward. Newly released bodycam footage of the incident acquired by Mark Fighting shows the extended sequence of Poirier’s arrest, with the former interim UFC lightweight champion again challenging officers to take off the cuffs and go “one-on-one.” Following the arrest, Poirier is initially in a calmer state, speaking with the officers and even telling the arresting officer, “he did a great job.” Poirier then gets slightly more agitated as he starts talking about previously being imprisoned. “I’ve been months, years, I’ve done prison time,” Poirier said. “Alexandria …. This shit ain’t nothing to me, dog. You know I’ve been in prison? I’m not lying to you! … “Dog, I’ve done been penitentiary time already.” “For what, exactly?” the arresting officer asked. “Second degree assault. It got turned into simple battery. And other shit. I’ve done time before. I don’t give a f*ck about this.” The officer then talks to Poirier about his kids, and he remains calm, until he is transported to the airport police station, the former interim lightweight champion again gets more aggressive with the escorting officers. “You know people are going to see this, right?” an officer says to Poirier. “Man, f*ck them, too!” Poirier responds. “You gonna say that about your fans, man?” another officer says to Poirier as they escort him down a hallway. “F*ck the fans! F*ck you guys!” Poirier fires back. “You can’t do that. They pay money for you!” the officer says. “Listen, let’s rock one. Y’all free me, and we go one-on-one. Let’s go. Let’s go, one-on-one. Me and you. Let’s go. Let’s see what happens.” Poirier says to the officer, shortly before being put in a holding cell. When the officers come to move Poirier from the holding cell, he is again highly agitated, yelling at the officers and stepping through his handcuffs so they are in front of him. “Arrest me! Bring me to the penitentiary because this is bullshit! Hoe-ass n*ggas!” When the officers attempt to recuff him with his hands behind his back, Poirier again offers to fight them. “Man, f*ck y’all! Stop f*cking around! Unlock this shit so I can f*ck y’all up! Y’all f*cking playing with me, man! I’m tired of this shit! I’m trying to f*cking work with you guys! Bring me to my f*cking shit, man! Y’all being a bunch of f*cking hoes! Fuck that ‘Mr. Dustin’ shit! Unlock me, dog, and let’s go! I’m tired of this shit! I’ve had enough!” Eventually the officers return Poirier to the holding cell to cool off, after which they take him out and transport him to the local jail, during which time Poirier gets emotional. “I’ve got kids, bro! Little kids and y’all f*cking with me?! F*ck y’all, man.” Once at the local jail, Poirier again starts yelling at the officers around him as he’s being processed, with the officers at the jail seemingly taking a more aggressive stance back toward Poirier before the footage leaves the scene. Following the arrest, Poirier apologized for his behavior and admitted that he needs help.
