Ezio Simonelli expresses concerns over Infantino's FIFA candidacy withdrawal

Ezio Simonelli, the president of Lega Serie A, has expressed reservations about the FIGC's decision to withdraw Italian support for Gianni Infantino's FIFA presidency candidacy. Speaking at the Gran Gala del Calcio AIC, he stated he would have preferred a more deliberative process before the announcement was made. He noted that the decision was primarily that of FIGC President Giovanni Malagò and questioned whether all relevant stakeholders had been informed prior to the public announcement. Simonelli shared that he considers himself a friend of Infantino, who recently visited the Serie A League headquarters in Milan.
