F1 chief aims to restore cancelled Bahrain race to 2026 calendar

Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali expressed optimism about rescheduling a cancelled race to the 2026 calendar. The races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were initially scheduled for April but were cancelled due to conflict in the Middle East. Domenicali indicated discussions are underway to restore the Bahrain Grand Prix, potentially fitting into the schedule from October 2-4 between races in Azerbaijan and Singapore. A decision is expected before the summer break, following the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 26. He also noted hope that the season's remaining races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi will proceed as planned.
