F1 sprint race format updated for 2026 including six events

The 2026 Formula 1 season features six sprint races, with the first taking place from July 3-5 at the British Grand Prix. The format remains similar to previous years, but the six slowest cars will now be eliminated from the first two qualifying sessions. Sprint qualifying includes three sessions lasting 12, 10, and eight minutes. The sprint race, which lasts 30 minutes and consists of 17 laps at Silverstone, awards points to the top eight finishers.
