When Fabian Aichner debuted in TNA, it was clear that the X-Division Championship was his first goal. Business picked up against current champion Cedric Alexander, then that story took a side quest for Ultimate X at Slammiversary. On the fallout episode of Impact (July 2, 2026), Aichner is back on track and one step closer to winning a title in TNA. Aichner beat five other men in a six-way match to become #1 contender for the X-Division Championship. The action was wild and woolly between Aichner, Rich Swann, BDE, Mr. Elegance, Home Town Man, and Jason Hotch. The coolest spot was a powerbomb base from Hotch grabbing Mr. Elegance on a super German suplex tossing Swann for a splash onto Aichner on the mat. Hotch kicked Home Town Man out of the ring. Swann surprised Hotch with a handspring cutter. Mr. Elegance executed his finisher on Swann. BDE flew in for a frog splash on Mr. Elegance. That match is tough to predict. Aichner still has the excitement from his debut on his side, so crowning him champion would shake things up in a good way.
