Freshman Faizon Brandon has been named Tennessee's starting quarterback for the upcoming season opener against Furman, scheduled for September 5 at Neyland Stadium. Brandon, a five-star prospect from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, committed to Tennessee over offers from Alabama, LSU, and North Carolina State. He enrolled in January 2026 and is set to wear jersey No. 11 during the season.
