Faizon Brandon records five touchdowns in first Tennessee start

Tennessee freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon recorded five total touchdowns during his first career start in a 56-9 victory against Furman on Saturday. Brandon completed passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns while adding 68 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. According to the SEC Network, Brandon is the first SEC player to record three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in a debut start since Cam Newton accomplished the feat in 2010. The performance established Brandon as a significant contributor for the Volunteers in his collegiate debut.
