Falcons acquire offensive lineman Wanya Morris from Chiefs

The Atlanta Falcons have traded for offensive tackle Wanya Morris from the Kansas City Chiefs. Morris, a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, had a varied performance with PFF grades of 55.6, 53.9, and 57.1 over three seasons. He comes in to bolster a strong offensive line after Storm Norton was placed on season-ending Reserve/PUP. The Falcons’ offensive line ranked seventh best in the NFL this offseason, and Morris is expected to compete for the right tackle position against teammate Jawaan Taylor. As he develops at just 25 years old, Morris’s run-blocking abilities showed improvement, but concerns remain about his pass protection.
