Falcons QB Michael Penix progresses in ACL rehab, nearing drills
Summary

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is making progress in his rehabilitation following ACL surgery, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Penix, the eighth overall draft pick in 2024, missed organized team activities but is approaching participation in 11-on-11 drills. Stefanski noted that Penix is achieving all expected milestones despite having some limitations related to his recovery. The Falcons signed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a one-year deal in March, which complicates the team's quarterback evaluation process as training camp approaches. While there is no set timetable for Penix's return, ongoing communication with the medical team is emphasized.
