Falcons ranked 10th among NFL teams with championship droughts

The Atlanta Falcons are ranked 10th on CBS Sports' list of teams facing long championship droughts. Despite past talent, they have struggled to achieve success, with a notable history including a significant Super Bowl collapse against the New England Patriots. Former MVP quarterback Matt Ryan, now president of football, is making roster changes that could impact the team's trajectory. The competition for starting quarterback is awaiting Michael Penix Jr.'s readiness for drills, with Tua Tagovailoa currently leading in practice reps. If neither proves to be a viable option, the Falcons may consider seeking a seasoned quarterback.
