Falcons sign defensive tackle Eric Johnson from Colts roster

The Atlanta Falcons have signed defensive tackle Eric Johnson as they fill their final roster spot on August 21, 2026. Johnson, a former fifth-round pick, has spent most of his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts, where he played under Falcons defensive line coach Nate Ollie. The 28-year-old has recorded 41 tackles and one sack in 51 games. His addition is intended to bolster the defensive line depth after running back Trey Sermon was placed on injured reserve. The Falcons are set to compete against the Colts in a preseason game on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
