Falcons' Za'Darius Smith debuts in practice as Avieon Terrell returns

The Atlanta Falcons welcomed key developments on August 25, 2026, as EDGE Za'Darius Smith made his practice debut and rookie cornerback Avieon Terrell returned to the field. While Terrell has not yet participated in team drills, he showed progress by attending practice. Smith, who missed previous joint practices, participated in individual drills but is still acclimating with the team and has not yet taken any team reps. Head coach Kevin Stefanski expressed confidence in Smith's impact on the field. The Falcons are preparing for their final preseason game against the Miami Dolphins, scheduled for this Friday.
