FAMU football transitions from radio to TV and streaming broadcasts

Florida A&M University (FAMU) football will no longer be available on radio starting with the 2026 season. The school's football games, traditionally broadcasted on the Rattler Sports Network through local station 96.1 JAMZ, will now be exclusively shown on television and streaming platforms, including ESPN networks and HBCU GO. This change follows the expiration of FAMU's contract with Cumulus Media and a decision by the athletic department to shift focus to media distribution via the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The Rattlers’ first game of the season is set for August 29 against Albany State at Bragg Memorial Stadium, which will be televised on SWAC TV.
