FAMU quarterback Armond Parker starts against Alabama A&M in SWAC opener

Armond Parker will start at quarterback for Florida A&M in their Southwestern Athletic Conference opener against Alabama A&M on September 26 at 7 p.m. at Ken Riley Field, Bragg Memorial Stadium. Parker, a true freshman, takes the helm as the Rattlers face injuries with the previous starter, Dustin Fletcher, sidelined. Fletcher exited last week’s game against Tennessee State with a thumb injury after completing 6 of 11 passes for 48 yards. Parker performed in that game, completing 14 of 25 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns, helping him secure the starting role. The game will be broadcast on SWAC TV with additional radio commentary.
