Father Ryan hires Stacy Swinea as new softball coach

Father Ryan announced on September 10 that Stacy Swinea has been named the school's new TSSAA softball coach. Swinea transitions to the position after serving at Davidson Academy since 1992, where she compiled 833 career wins. Her tenure at Davidson Academy included three state championships, 14 district titles, and eight region titles, along with 19 appearances in state tournament play. A graduate of Tennessee Tech, Swinea has also served as a basketball coach at both the middle and varsity school levels. Athletic director Ann Mullins stated that the school selected Swinea for her focus on student-athlete mentorship and program development. Swinea was previously recognized as the 2019-20 TSSAA Distinguished Service Award recipient.
