FC Augsburg prepares to host Bayern Munich in Bundesliga clash

Summary

FC Augsburg welcomes Bayern Munich to WWK-Arena on Saturday. Augsburg, currently fourth in the Bundesliga, suffered a setback recently with a 3-2 loss to Werder Bremen after leading 2-0. Bayern Munich, second in the standings, aims to rebound from a disappointing goalless draw against Schalke 04. Augsburg previously defeated Bayern in their last meeting at Allianz Arena, which adds extra motivation for the reigning champions. Both teams will look to secure a crucial win; Augsburg seeks to maintain their strong start, while Bayern aims to close the gap on league leaders Borussia Dortmund.
