FC Bayern players and staff receive numerous 2026 Ballon d’Or nominations

FC Bayern earned significant recognition as the 2026 Ballon d’Or nominees were announced on Tuesday. The club secured nominations in both the men’s and women’s Club of the Year categories, marking the first time both programs have appeared on the shortlist simultaneously. Four men’s players, Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, and Dayot Upamecano, earned spots on the 30-man shortlist, while Klara Bühl, Pernille Harder, and Momoko Tanikawa represent the women’s side. Additionally, manager Vincent Kompany is among the five nominees for Men’s Coach of the Year after leading the team to a league title and a DFB Cup victory. The nominations follow a successful season in which the men's team set a Bundesliga scoring record and reached the Champions League semi-finals. The women’s team also maintained domestic dominance by securing a league and cup double for the second consecutive year.
