FC Cincinnati hosts D.C. United at TQL Stadium to improve playoff seeding

FC Cincinnati faces D.C. United in a Major League Soccer match on Saturday, Sept. 5, at TQL Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. as the home side attempts to strengthen its current sixth-place standing in the Eastern Conference. FC Cincinnati holds 31 points, while D.C. United enters the match tied for ninth place with 25 points. Although FC Cincinnati recently signed Julián Malatini and David Douděra to bolster its defense, both players are unlikely to join training until after the Sept. 12 match against Charlotte due to visa requirements. D.C. United striker Tai Baribo remains a question mark for the lineup following a knee injury that kept him out of his team's last fixture. The two clubs have not met yet this season, though D.C. United holds a 6-4-4 all-time record against FC Cincinnati.
