FC Köln hosts Werder Bremen in upcoming Bundesliga fixture

FC Köln and Werder Bremen face off at the RheinEnergieStadion following contrasting performances in their previous Bundesliga outings. FC Köln returns home after a heavy loss to VfB Stuttgart, looking to recover the form that produced an opening day victory over Hoffenheim. The club faces significant roster questions, with Saïd El Mala, Thijs Dallinga, Sebastian Sebulonsen, Timo Hübers, and Gian-Luca Waldschmidt all listed as questionable for the match. Werder Bremen enters the contest with renewed confidence after a convincing home win against RB Leipzig, which saw goals from Eren Dinkci, Niclas Fullkrug, and Marco Grüll. Manager Daniel Thioune aims to maintain this momentum to help the side move away from the bottom of the table toward the European places. Werder Bremen continues to manage injury concerns regarding players including Felix Agu, Senne Lynen, and Jens S.
