FC Twente technical director Erik ten Hag addresses Barcelona interest in Ruud Nijstad

FC Twente technical director Erik ten Hag says that teenager Ruud Nijstad remains committed to the club for the current season despite interest from major European teams. While speculation linked the young player to Barcelona late in the summer transfer window, no move occurred. Ten Hag stated that the club is not looking to move the player, noting that a contract extension signed in June keeps the teenager under contract until 2029. Although external interest persists, the player intends to continue his development at the Eredivisie side. Nijstad has previously expressed a personal ambition to play alongside Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi in the future. The technical director indicated the club will reevaluate the player's situation after the current campaign.
