A federal judge has denied a request from promotional company CSI to stop Floyd Mayweather's upcoming exhibition match against Mike Zambidis. The ruling followed CSI's attempt to obtain a temporary restraining order amid a breach of contract lawsuit against Mayweather. The judge determined CSI did not demonstrate the necessary irreparable harm to justify the restraining order. Mayweather's bout with Zambidis, originally set for June 27 in Athens, was postponed pending this decision. Expectation remains to reschedule the fight within the next couple of months, although Mayweather faces ongoing legal challenges related to the breach of contract case.

The judge indicated CSI, who had planned events with Mayweather for fights against Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao, didn’t meet their requirement of demonstrating irreparable harm, which was the threshold required to approve the restraining order against Mayweather. Mayweather’s fight with Zambidis had originally been scheduled for June 27 in Athens, but the event was postponed last minute as the judge hadn’t yet made his ruling on this matter.
