Despite the accolade, the fullback expressed disappointment regarding his current contract status, noting that extension discussions have not yet occurred. The event also included awards for various positions, with Inter teammates Alessandro Bastoni and Hakan Calhanoglu, alongside Como coach Cesc Fabregas, receiving recognition. During the same day, Inter underwent a front-office change as the club replaced longtime sporting director Piero Ausilio with Dario Baccin. Dimarco indicated that he had no immediate intention of departing the club where he developed through the youth system.
