Fennville defeats Saugatuck in three-set volleyball sweep

Fennville secured a 3-0 victory over rival Saugatuck in a volleyball match on September 3. After winning the first set 25-18, the teams played a competitive second set that required extra points before Fennville closed it out 28-26. The Blackhawks completed the sweep by taking the third set 25-18. This result marks the second consecutive rivalry win for Fennville, a streak the program has not achieved in several years. Senior MacKenzie McIlwain provided consistent setting while junior Marynne Winne recorded double-digit kills to lead the Fennville offense. For Saugatuck, Jocelyn Johnson contributed 10 kills during the loss, as coach Christina Lewis continues to develop a young roster.
