FHSAA suspends Nebraska commit Jailen Hill for one year

Nebraska football commit Jailen Hill has been ruled ineligible for one year by the Florida High School Athletic Association following an investigation into transfer violations. The FHSAA found that Hill participated in team activities at Miami Carol City before officially enrolling at the school. Investigators also determined that Hill lived with a representative of the school’s athletic interests and that his eligibility paperwork was signed by an unauthorized individual. As a result, Hill cannot participate in FHSAA-sanctioned sports until August 28, 2027. Miami Carol City faces additional penalties including the forfeiture of two games, $3,700 in fines, and administrative probation through September 1, 2027. The school has stated that Hill has not participated in team activities since the investigation began in late August, and the ruling remains subject to appeal within 10 business days.
