FIA court restores Monaco Grand Prix penalties against Pierre Gasly

The FIA International Court of Appeal has reinstated two five-second penalties against Pierre Gasly for the Monaco Grand Prix. This ruling overturns a June 12 decision that had previously removed the penalties and restored Gasly's podium finish. As a result of the court's verdict, the official race classification is amended, dropping Gasly from third to seventh place and awarding the podium position back to Isack Hadjar. Alpine Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore publicly criticized the ruling, questioning the independence of judge Filippo Marchino due to his alleged ties with the McLaren team. McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella rejected these claims, defending the integrity of the judicial process and asserting that the allegations are insulting to the team's reputation. Alpine has confirmed it will accept the final decision despite its objections to the panel's composition.
