Fifa demands payment from fans after free World Cup ticket error
Summary

Fifa has informed 60 fans who mistakenly received free tickets for World Cup group stage matches in Toronto that they must pay for them within seven days or risk losing their seats. This situation arose due to an error on Fifa's website that allowed the fans to purchase the tickets without charge. The tickets were set to be canceled, and fans were given the chance to buy them at full price. The World Cup, hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico, is set to begin on June 11. This latest glitch adds to ongoing ticketing issues faced by Fifa, which is under investigation for potentially misleading practices regarding ticket pricing.
