The cash raised is intended to bolster development funding for all member associations, increasing the budget from $3.86 billion in the current cycle to $10 billion for the 2027-2030 period. FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized that the organization will retain control over governance and sporting decisions despite the stake sale.
