FIFA announced that it will unveil the match schedule for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil on August 20 during the draw for the intercontinental playoff. The tournament, set to run from June 24 to July 25, 2027, will feature matches in eight cities, including Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The draw will determine the final three teams in the 32-team field, joining host Brazil and 17 already qualified teams, such as defending champion Spain. The U.S. women's national team will attempt to secure its place at the World Cup during Concacaf's qualifying tournament from November 27 to December 5 in Texas.
