Brazilian coach Filipe Luís has been hired by AS Monaco, four months after leaving Flamengo. He signed a contract that extends until June 2028. During his tenure at Flamengo, he led the team to victory in the Brazilian title and the Copa Libertadores in 2025. Monaco finished seventh in the French league last season and will participate in the Conference League playoffs next month.

The former Brazil, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea left back left Flamengo in March.
