First Coast golfers exit state match play in quarterfinals

Three golfers from the First Coast reached the quarterfinals of the Florida State Golf Association Senior Match Play Championship held at Deerwood Country Club from June 22-25. Mark Spencer, Chuck Kirk, and Dave Reynolds competed but lost their matches in the quarterfinals. Spencer, who excelled in stroke play, tied for first in qualifying before bowing out to J.D. Schlotterback. Meanwhile, Glenn Pryzbylski claimed the championship title after defeating Ryan Howison in 19 holes. Other First Coast players did not advance past the qualifying rounds.
