First Olympic skateboard qualifiers conclude in Rome for LA28

The World Skateboarding Tour's first qualifier for the LA28 Olympics took place in Rome. Athletes began earning points in the men's and women's street and park disciplines. Chloe Covell of Australia won the women's street final with a historic margin, while Japan's Sora Shirai captured the men's title, completing a Japanese podium sweep. In park events, Mizuho Hasegawa set a record for women's park scoring, and Issei Sakurai won the men's final. This event marks the start of a two-year qualification period leading up to the Olympics, with subsequent competitions scheduled in Paraguay and Japan.
