First TSSAA cross-country night race set for Knoxville on Sept. 26

Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville will host the first TSSAA cross-country night race on Sept. 26. The event, organized by the Metro Knoxville XC Coaches Association and Knoxville Track Club, starts with the girls' race at 8 p.m. followed by the boys at 8:45 p.m. Over 50 schools have registered, including teams from Bartlett, Spring Hill, and Bourbon County, Kentucky. The event will feature 45 light towers for illumination. Organizers hope for a successful inaugural event to expand into a two-day format in 2027, accommodating up to 75 schools.
