Five San Antonio-area volleyball setters to watch in 2026

The San Antonio area boasts several standout setters heading into the 2026 volleyball season. Rylie Coates from Kerrville Tivy, a committed Air Force player, earned all-state honors with 691 assists. Reagan's Lauren Garcia, committed to Louisiana Tech, accumulated 597 assists last season after recovering from injury. Incarnate Word's Lorena Gomez recorded 989 assists, while Logan Sanders of New Braunfels Canyon achieved 1,405 assists and is committed to Rutgers. Sydney Whisenton from Cornerstone, committed to Baylor, contributed with 524 assists and was named MVP at a major tournament. Additional players to watch include Brady Cooksey, Madelynn Nagelmueller, Sierra Seal, Camilla Serna, and Kelsey Simmerman.
