Five-star cornerback John Meredith III has officially committed to the Texas Longhorns, choosing Texas over Texas A&M and Alabama. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound recruit from Fort Worth made his decision on June 19, following several visits to College Station since June 2024 and an official visit to Texas on June 5. Meredith is ranked as the No. 2 overall player and the top cornerback in the 247Sports composite rankings. Despite his commitment to Texas, Texas A&M is expected to continue pursuing him until signing day.
