With the early signing period for the 2027 college football recruits approaching in December, several five-star athletes are under scrutiny for potential commitment flips. Currently, all but three of the 32 five-star recruits are committed; however, analysts suggest that the next few months will focus on maintaining these commitments. DJ Jacobs, Jalen Brewster, Trae Taylor, and Easton Royal are among the recruits whose decisions remain uncertain as rival programs continue to pursue them aggressively. Texas Tech's Jalen Brewster is projected to make a final decision in the upcoming weeks.
- •DJ Jacobs remains committed to Ohio State but is pursued by Miami.
- •Jalen Brewster committed to Texas Tech may flip to Florida, LSU, or Texas.
- •Trae Taylor committed to Nebraska, facing interest from Ohio State.
- •Easton Royal committed to Texas, with LSU making a strong push.
