Five Tigers named among Hero Sports Preseason G6 All-Americans

Five players from the Memphis Tigers football team have been named to Hero Sports' Preseason Group of Six All-American teams. This includes two on the First Team: defensive lineman J'Mond Tapp and safety Ian Foster. Tapp was a standout with 70 tackles and 7.5 sacks last season, while Foster posted 76 tackles and three interceptions. Tight end Hunter Tipton, linebacker Mike Montgomery, and safety Ahmere Foster also received recognition on the Third Team. The Tigers are set to face ranked opponents in non-conference play, including their opener against UNLV.
