Fleetwood Town secured the signing of Brighton midfielder Josh Robertson on a loan agreement that runs until January 5. The 20-year-old moves to the League Two side to gain senior match experience after failing to make a first-team appearance for his parent club. Robertson joined Brighton from Sunderland in February 2024 and served as the under-21 captain during their Premier League 2 title-winning campaign last season. He has also logged appearances in the EFL Trophy, netting one goal in two matches. The midfielder is now available to be selected for the upcoming home fixture against Shrewsbury this Saturday. This transition marks his first venture into senior league competition following his development within the Brighton academy structure.
