Florence and Randolph join the weekly Super 8 football poll

High school football programs in the Tennessee Valley adjusted their rankings following the conclusion of Week 1 games. Plainview remains the top-ranked team in the Super 8 poll after a 41-25 victory against Boaz in the Pruitt Bowl. Florence enters the poll for the first time at No. 4, currently holding a 2-0 record with high-scoring wins over Pinson Valley and Jasper. Randolph also joins the rankings at No. 8 after starting their season 2-0, highlighted by a 63-32 defeat of Whitesburg Christian. Other programs maintained their standing, including Scottsboro at No. 2 and Geraldine at No. 3, despite the latter having a week off. Teams now prepare for upcoming regional matchups as the season progresses.
