Florian Lipowitz returns to cycling action at the Giro della Tascana

German cyclist Florian Lipowitz returned to competition on Wednesday at the Giro della Tascana in Italy. Lipowitz finished with the peloton in Pontedera after 189.4 kilometres of racing and provided support at the front of the pack for his Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe team. This appearance marks his return to the sport 50 days after sustaining a collarbone fracture during the Tour de France. The race was won by his teammate Giulio Pellizzari, who finished ahead of Jordan Jegat and Christian Scaroni.
