Florian Thauvin scores twice as Lens defeats Auxerre 5-2

Florian Thauvin scored two penalties in a commanding 5-2 victory for Lens over Auxerre in their Ligue 1 opener on Saturday. Thauvin opened the scoring early in the match after a handball and added another penalty late in the game. Auxerre was reduced to ten men just before halftime when Christ Massoko received a red card. Lens continued their dominant performance into the second half, with Franjo Ivanovic also getting on the scoresheet.
