Florida baseball secures commitment from pitcher Maddox McDougall

Florida baseball announced the commitment of Maddox McDougall, a right-handed relief pitcher from Jacksonville State, on June 9. McDougall posted a 2.76 ERA with 54 strikeouts over 49 innings during his sophomore season. He was part of a successful Jacksonville State team that won its conference titles and finished with a 48-15 record. McDougall is the second transfer recruit for Florida this offseason, following catcher Jon Embury from Florida Gulf Coast. The Florida Gators have seen nine players enter the transfer portal, including significant departures.
