Florida baseball targets Oregon State's Rich Dorman as new pitching coach

Florida baseball is looking to hire Rich Dorman, currently the pitching coach at Oregon State, as its next pitching coach. Dorman has led Oregon State's pitching staff, which finished the 2026 season ranked first in several categories, including ERA and total strikeouts. His hiring is expected after Florida's firing of pitching coach David Kopp following struggles during the Gainesville Regional. Dorman previously coached at Grand Canyon University and spent eight years in the Seattle Mariners organization. The hiring has not yet been finalized, according to reports.
