Florida commit Kamarion Johnson visits Florida State for SMU matchup

Four-star safety Kamarion Johnson will attend the Florida State game against SMU at Doak Campbell Stadium on Monday night. Although currently committed to the Florida Gators, the Georgia prospect is slated to visit the Seminoles' campus for the primetime season opener. Johnson characterized the trip as a casual visit to see friends rather than a formal recruitment effort. Despite his stated intentions, the visit provides Florida State an opportunity to maintain communication with the defensive recruit. The Seminoles previously recruited the player during the summer before his commitment to Florida. Florida State holds commitments from defensive backs Ta'Shaw Pooole and Jemari Foreman as the program pursues additional talent for its current recruiting class.
